Fun Fact: Dwarf Chain Sword gets its name from the chain of new plantlets it produces along runners. Once established, a single plant can gradually spread across the substrate and create a natural grass-like carpet.
Appearance: Dwarf Chain Sword produces narrow, bright green, blade-like leaves that grow from small rosettes. Depending on lighting and growing conditions, some varieties may develop bronze or reddish tones.
Aquarium Use: Excellent as a foreground plant for creating grassy carpets and filling open areas around rocks and driftwood. It works well in both low-tech planted tanks and high-tech aquascapes.
Propagation: Spreads naturally through runners that produce daughter plants. Once the daughter plants develop their own roots, they can be separated and replanted elsewhere in the aquarium.
Note: Dwarf Chain Sword is primarily a root feeder, so a nutrient-rich substrate or regular root tabs will encourage stronger growth. Higher lighting and CO2 generally produce shorter, denser growth and faster carpet formation.
