Fun Fact: Rotala Rotundifolia Red is a popular red stem plant that can develop beautiful shades of pink, orange, and deep red under strong lighting. Despite its scientific name, which means “round-leaved,” its submerged leaves are typically narrow and elongated, while its emersed leaves are much rounder.
Appearance: Rotala Rotundifolia Red produces delicate, narrow leaves arranged along slender upright stems. Depending on lighting, nutrients, and CO2 availability, its foliage can range from green and bronze to vibrant pink, orange-red, and crimson.
Aquarium Use: Excellent for creating colorful bushes in the midground or background of planted aquariums. When planted in groups, its fine foliage and warm red tones provide a striking contrast against bright green plants and darker hardscape.
